UNPLUGGING: How To Beat Your Bedtime Phone Habit

1. Don't sleep in the same room as your phone.
It's the most obvious one - don't sleep in the same room as your phone. It's the toughest one, though, without a doubt. We all want to be able to check what's going on when we wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep, but curbing your blue light exposure is incredibly important to getting good sleep.
2. Switch to audio instead.
If you simply cannot go without your phone (like most of us, frankly), then switch to podcasts or audio books.
The blue light that your smartphone emits is the harshest thing for your sleep, so finding away to kick the screen to the curb will make a big improvement.
3. Get an alarm clock (that's not your phone)
One of the biggest reasons for needing your phone in the same room where you sleep is that it's your alarm clock. This should be fairly simple to fix - just order one up from Amazon.
4. Use Moment to limit your screen time
We've become big fans of Moment - it's an app that limits your screen time on your iPhone. You can even limit specific app usage, so (hopefully) you'll be out of minutes when time comes to get some shut eye.
